Ice skating

We finally made it to the outdoor ice skating rink in downtown Omaha! My friend and I talk about it every year but never get there somehow. It was really fun. This is the last week it's open though, it's a temporary fundraiser to fight hunger put on by Conagra foods.

Let it snow

Saturday also brought the first of the seasons crazy weather. Aside from times of white out while driving I really enjoyed the wintery wonderland it created!

Dickens in the Market

I stumbled upon this Dickens in the Market Saturday when I was down in the Old Market. I've never heard of it before but it was so cute! They did a good job, the costumes where really nice and the weather was quite fitting for the event.

Pumpkin Patch II

I have to post a second round of pumkin patch pics, there were so many things there that were photograph worthy!

Pumpkin Patch

I went to Vala's Pumpkin Patch in Gretna for the first time. I went with my friend and her two young daughters, it was so much fun! It's definitely a great place to take kids, lot's of fun haunted houses, hay rack ride, educational exhibits, pig races, petting zoo and of course lot's of pumpkins! It's fun for adults too though and you can get a bunch of people together and rent out a fire pit to roast marshmallows and there's lots of good food everywhere.

Sunken Gardens

I couldn't believe how beautiful the Sunken Gardens are right now, the landscaping is amazing! My favorite part of the garden right now is the cascading greens and blues coming down along the side of the garden. In case you are not familiar with the Sunken Gardens in Lincoln it is located near the Lincoln Zoo and is actually quite small but so beautiful it is a must see and a beautiful place to take a walk around. The gardens were a depression era project built over a former neighborhood dump site, what a transformation!
